Yoda said: But...LISTEN UP EVERYBODY! -- just as there are NO HORIZONTAL PINS in The Golfing Machine, there likewise are NO ANGLED PINS! There are only -- all together now shout -- "VERTICAL PINS!" Yoda thanks you.
Holy mackerel! The noise was deafening! Phew!
Everything is spinning Lets see if it will settle down.
If Im looking at a horizontal hinge the hinges pin is vertical to the horizontal plane .. and the hinge motion is in the horizontal plane.
If Im looking at a vertical hinge .. the hinge pin is vertical to the vertical plane . And the hinge motion is in the vertical plane.
If Im looking at an angled hinge the hinge pin is vertical to the angled plane .. and the hinge motion is in the angled plane.
Im never going to be able to look at a hinge without getting a headache.
You've got it, Jim! The hinge blade's fundamental motion is ALWAYS thesame!
-- It moves in a circle around its pin.
-- And the Plane of that Rotation can be one of the Three Basic Planes.
-- And the hinge's pin is ALWAYS mounted vertical -- or perpendicular -- tothat particular Plane.
Eureka!
Now, about that headache...knowing what's coming up...you better head for theTylenol!
